accessory or prop? smart parent and "fit to" memo

before I tried some sword and sheeld sets for V4 to be customized for genesis.

1 the sword and seelds not props. which had been rigged then they are made for "fit to" v4.
and they have some posing preset which can turn wepons in hand.

2 after I had remade it for genesis by CCT , I hoped it " fit to" genesis.
then I find if I set meta-data Type as Accessory , they can fit to (if they have correctly rigged for genesis)
but if set meta-data type as prop, they never auto fit to genesis.

3 but, sometimes I want to just parent the rigged props to figure.

I made rigged weapon, or rigged accessory for genesis, but I want not them fit to genesis.

so when I load it, I want them "auto parented" parts of genesis body

eg

neckless(rigged) auto-parented genesiss neck , swords (rigged) auto-parented genesis right hand.
and I want it fly to where genesis posing in the scene, when I load it.

4 but I could not save it as smart parent prop item in ds 4. ( I think if I missed something or not,,)
if the prop has been rigged.

then now I use ds 4.5 and we can save prop, as smart parent items.

so I thought if i can save my rigged weapon and accessory (which has many bones) as smart prop

<<first I saved it with "smart parent option" checked. then load the item, but It never parented of course not fit to.<br /> (because they has not rigged for fit to genesis)

then I remembered , before I change the type of meta-data, then I save the type as "prop"
now I load it, the rigged accessory and weapon fly to genesis, and auto-parented genesis body.>>

disciribe seems my mistake,, need not set items type, for just parented items.
now I try again with other rigged prop.

so If someone want to your rigged items "fit-to"
check the "type" of assets (not category)

"accessory" can "automatic fit -to" (if it is correctrly rigged) (it is not "auto-fit" )
but if it has meta-type "prop" , it can not fit-to.

in ds 4.5 you can set the assets "type" when you save it,
and if you forget it, you can change the type, in content DB editor.>>
===========================

now I try again another items,,

if it was rigged , after adjust positon and parented it figure,
then save with "smart parenting" option, it can auto parent.
without any type.

and if item is rigged correctly when I load it, it auto fit-to the figure.
without any type.

on the other hand,
if I set meta-type "prop" it can not auto "fit to".

I am now confusing, meta-type has more meaning in ds 4.5?
only for data-base?

    Hi

I made a headgear and put it in my figure, but I have no idea how I make it to behave properly, linked to the head.

    Thanks.

Is it parented to the head node?

I'm trying to do that. In Scene panel I select my headgear and the head, but I can't find any option to parent them

In the viewport right-click on the headgear and choose "Parent to ..."
    or
in the Scene tab drag the headgear and drop it onto the Head node.

    Hi

I made a new topic tagged Shapping, about an issue, but as no one showed up, I’m going to ask here.

The question is: I made a figure, close the file, then when I open it, the shape of an older one was aplied to it.

And sometimes a new genesis is loaded with this very shape applied.

    Thanks

Please do not post the same question in multiple places. It makes it more difficult for people trying to help to know what has been tried already.
