Hi, Is there a 3D printing thread or forum on here? What was that company DAZ3D was featuring as a place to get things 3D printed? Is there anything new to know about 3D printing?

I think the 3D printing company that you are asking about was called "GamePrint" and they are flat out out of business according to a thread I saw last week in the forums. Sorry.
In that thread, Shapeways was mentioned as an alternative, but I've seen in recent news that they too will be filing for backruptcy.
At this point I think your most reliable solution for help will be research those fan groups that create resin/epoxy casts of various superheros and other popular fantasy universes and ask them. Also, ask in Blender groups. The epoxy/resin casts were from time to time used in bespoke characters I've seen in a few business windows in Zurich to advertise in a non-traditional way to draw in windows shoppers.
