BTW the reason I did that video was soley because I was midway between watching my 5 disc set of Game of Thrones season 1 & disc 3 was defective not playing past a point on either of 2 DVD players, my laptop or desktop.
Anyway I returned the set to the store and the replacements played fine so now I need to buy the next 2 seasons!
    but
looking at the costumes and scenery
I realized I have EVERYTHING needed to recreate it in my runtime
the Barbarian is Dothraki through and through (I am certain I have the hair somewhere too!)
any of my countless bits or armour and chainmail could suit the Southern kingdom
certain I have the all Notherner's clothes and NightWatch stuff too!
which makes me think, a lot of PA's might be G.of T. fans!

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ywlJ02WmGw
    will prob use iClone,
    (as in video)
my results in Carrara pretty much sucked, needs a lot of shader work
    Poser nice but VERY slow
Daz studio even more so unless I lose the lighting and water shader

Wendy, would you mind sharing the water settings for that third image? (they might all be the same) Your water looks FANTASTIC. :)

is just default Poser load for that scene
    the second Daz studio default
the first is Fisty's water shader with some tweaking,
the last Carrara with a digital carver's ocean shader
my pics reversed from order I posted

Nice, I like the kitbashing pics. Notice your using iclone, does that mean it can import Daz stuff?

Thanks for the reply Wendy. I've only recently installed the freebie version of iclone4 but haven't got around to trying it out. That 3DXchange looks amazing, being able to import loads of formats like sketchup and then export as obj's. Wanted to convert some 3ds to obj's and tried to via blender but the textures didn't convert. Will look at this later, as I'm pretty wiped out this month with the Daz sale.

Sorry couldn't play you vid, my player just locks up. But that's probably because I don't use media player.
    Thanks again.

need to use quicktime a Quicktime virtual reality mov
and iClone 4 ok for most prop imports, to get E forest in break it down into bits, too big one go, texture sizes may need to be reduced too for 4 (32bit only), I use iC5 64bit beta.
For Daz figures (people) you really need iC5 iC4 can only import them as animated props if at all.

mind you I used it for years and if I wanted Daz people in there as it has animated textures I just rendered one in studio with an alpha/opacity outline video and stuck it on a plane as an avi texture, casts shadows.

At the moment I don't think I'll be doing a lot with iclone4, I've barely got a fingernail grip on DS.
Anyway, now that I'm registered on their site, maybe an offer to good to resist may come down the pipe. If thats the case then I may end up getting iclone5 later on.
Thanks for taking the time out to explain, appreciated.

I tend to aviod Quicktime as I've had problems in the past, ie perpetual pop up nag screens and the way it was embeded. Ended up installing realalternative on my old XP pc just go get rid of it. My Firefox browser keeps asking to add/update Quicktime player plugin. -NNNOOOO.

I may have to install it later, but for now I'm poking it away with a stick.. Shooo.
