Where did dynamic cloth control panel go?

I upgraded to 4.9 not too long ago (I was a holdout but I needed decimate.... what are you gonna do?) and I haven't had a use for dynamic cloth since that time but the other day I did and I noticed that the tab is no longer in it's normal docked location.  So I went to the Windows - > panes settings to load it up and I got what you see below.  It simply doesn't seem to exist anymore.  What's up with that?

You need to reinstall the Dynamic Clothing Control plug-in after DS itself has completed its install - if you set DS and its plug-ins to download and install at the same time the plug-ins will complete first and the control version will be replaced by the basic from the DS installer.

I did that already, Richard. still don't have the pane.  On a side note, I do have the full paid plugin but even the basic included version, as I recall, was a pane that you could select what to drape and do collisions on so it ought to be available even if the paid one isn't, right?  I don't see why there would ever be a scenario where the simply isn't a dynamic cloth pane at all.

Is this the release or the beta version of DS? If it's the beta, and your first beta, then you will need to reenter the serial number. If not, what do you see for the plug-in under Help>About Installed Plug-ins?
