Post DSON world - Which files to use

I am updating some of the products I purchased here and I see some files that have DSON and Legacy versions. Can anyone tell me...Do you use the DSON versions only if you use the product with Poser? Do I need to install both versions if I only use DS 4.5? If I install the DSON version, do I still need to install the Legacy version for DS 4.5??

I mainly use DS 4.5.

Any guidance on this is appreciated.

    The Legacy version is for versions of DS before 4.5 which do not use the DUF format.

    You need the DSON version for DS 4.5

    Thank you for that information. Now, using Zac Hair as an example...

    We have Zac Hair Gen 4 - PC; Zac Hair Genesis - DSON Core; Zac Hair - Legacy; Zac Hair - Poser Companion.

    Is it true that to use Zac Hair on DS 4.5 I have to install all the files except Legacy?

    You don't have to install Poser Companion.

    And you don't have to install the Gen 4 version if you're only using it with Genesis.
