Why is the image smaller in the gallery? (SOLVED)

I have uploaded an image to the gallery as well as in a forum thread. In the forum I can see the full size (it's pretty large) but in the gallery I can only see a smaller version.
Why is that? And is there anyway to fix this? It really needs to be viewed at full size.

I uploaded a large image (4.6 MB) to the gallery but it isn't possible to view it att full/original size.
Is there anything I can do to fix this?
Merged threads - if you want to have the post in another forum edit the opening post and chnage the forum in the drop-down list.
I got help from the support with this one and if anyone google up this thread in the future I wright the solution here.
There is max size in the gallery of 2 MB. If the image is larger than 2 MB it will still be uploaded but the gallery resizes it. The solution - in my case - was to upload an image with lower resolution (1,7 MB instead of 4,7 MB). Then the image was shown at the correct size. (Pretty counter intuitive to lower the resolution to make the image larger).
