[SOLVED] Exporting as OBJ result in quadrupaling of polycount

How to reporoduce:
Export Genesis 3 Female out to OBJ format.
What happens:
Thy polycount is increased by 4 times.
What was expected:
The poly count not to stay consisten.
This prevents morphs from working, as the geometry has of course drastically changed.
I wonder if this is a Daz bug or if my OBJ export options are haywire.
Regards,
James

Do you have G3F set to base resolution in Daz Studio before export? It loads at high res by default.
You are supposed to export out as FBX to use the morphs is my understanding and to create morphs I've heard to use either obj or dae, with dae being preferred. You then import the morph you created back into DAZ for export as an FBX to use elsewhere. Others may correct me please.
Ohh my goord, you were right.
Thank you thank you thank you.
A bit of a usability bug on Daz's part, I might add. Considering this doesn't take effect when exporting FBX.
Anyway, thanks again @Redz, I wouldn't have got that otherwise.
Best,
James
Hi @nonesuch00 . Thanks for the tips.
I tried using FBX as my interim export option for creating morphs, but it seems to add some kind of slight defermations to the mesh. It's most noteceable in the ears. OBJ export seems to be imune from this issue.

Thanks again @Redz and @nonsuch00 both for your imensly fast responses.
Made my day :)

For morphs .obj is the better format. Besides setting the resolution to Base you need to dial out the navel and mouth realism morphs that are set by default.
