Dynamic scarf usage

Hi guys, can someone explain how can i have the dynamic scarf for v4 (http://www.daz3d.com/dynamic-scarf) assume that position (like in the product page picture) on a different figure than victoria 4?I'm afraid i'm not so good on dynamic clothing

thanks

That's a much better question than I first thought — I bought this years ago, but apparently I never tried to use it before now. I've looked at the readme, and it's no help at all. Has anyone else tried? I suspect it might need an animated drape, but I'm not sure.

Incidentally, items like this that use Optitex dynamics aren't really "made for V4 and no-one else" — they're dynamic cloth, not a conforming figure like conventional clothes. If you can get the scarf to drape on V4, exactly the same technique can be used to drape it on any other figure that's close enough to human in size and shape. And even that condition isn't set in stone; it isn't always quick or easy, but I've had success with draping many of the dynamic clothes on not-quite-human figures.

here is a pretty good Dynamic clothing tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5NNqUYOW6Z8

this one is also good https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZhHPez3uZ8g

  • how to drape itself seems quite straightforward, now the problem is how to put it around my character's neck...i even tried draping it around the char in horizontal position;saving the draped obj and applying that as a morph to the scarf but it won't let me do it

A plane set at *45 and raised just above the sholders so the scarf can slide onto the neck works the best so far on any charactor.

Saving the scarfs shape after draping seems to be my problem
