Increasing Rendering time?

Hi, as of 4.8 my rendering speed has decreased significantly. I used to be able to render a whole scene in under 10 minutes, now it takes up to an hour, Not sure what changed, but I was wondering if there was a way that I could increase the rendering speed and still get high quality images.

Were you previously using 3Delight and have you now switched to Iray? Scenes should remember their settings, though that does depend on the version from which they were saved, but depending on what is in the scene (and on your hardware) a switch to Iray could slow things down..

I'm not sure, but 3Delight causes Daz to crash sometimes

So, which render engine are you using now to render your image (Iray or 3Delight)? There are a few things to check on to see if your settings are off kilter, but those are different for each render engine. Look in the Render Settings pane Editor tab and tell us whether it is Nvidia Iray or 3Delight or something else.
