Downloaded windows 10. Then tried to use Daz 3D and the program was deleted.
I am now tyring to find the Daz 3d 64 bit version to re-download but can only find the 32 bit.
Is the 64 bit no longer available?
No, DAZ Studio comes in 64 bit and is the preferred version.
Windows 10 will ask if you want to delete a program that is not commonly downloaded (it must have a list of known programs and their checksums) but if the program is not infected and you don't tell Windows 10 to delete it the program will remain on your HD for you to install.
Where are you downloading DAZ Studio from? I wouldn't dowload it from anywhere but DAZ3D.com. A torrent version is likely to have trojans injected.
Next time Windows 10 tells you that a program is not commonly downloaded do you want to delete it pay attention to why it's asking. As I said, it will only delete infected programs without asking. It asks about unknown or uncommonly downloaded programs in case they might have a trojan on them it doesn't know how to detect but we are talking DAZ 3D here, not some warez game site.
My originalI download was from Daz3D.com. Because this was deleted and ohter programs wounldn't work with Windows 10, I went back to Windows 7.
I am trying to download the 64 bit version from Daz3D.com, ( I already have 32 bit installed) But when I click on download it shows it is going to download the 32 bit version.
Daz Studio or the Daz Install Manager? The latter is 32 bit only, sicne it doesn't need to handle large amounts of daat in memory at once.
Well Windows 7 is now ancient in computer technology terms. If you have the 32 bit version of Windows 7 installed I'm not entirely sure it will run DAz Studio 64 bit as it's been so long since I tried it.
Yep, I was trying to download Install Manager.
Thanks guys, I now have the 64 bit installed on my PC.
