Is there a way to have hair in Daz Studio not cast shadows but everything else in the scene does? I know poser has this option but I cannot find a way to do it in Daz.

Select your hair item in the viewport or Scene tab. In the Parameters tab click on Display. There you will find an option to turn off Cast Shadows on your selected item, such as your hair item.

If you mean you want to turn of AO, then apply a shader such as UberHair to your hair. Then you can control AO and raytracing for the hair in the Surfaces tab.

You are welcome. And welcome to the DAZ forums. People here are very helpful. I've learned things in the forum that just don't seem to be documented anywhere.
