No content search in DS 4.9

Since changing to DS 4.9 I have not been able to search content. Whereas in 4.7 and older a search of (say) "chair" would pull up dozens of models, in 4.8 it only brought up a small number and in 4.9 no searches bring up anything. Doing things through smart content is not realistic if I want to look through things like furnishing spread through Daz-environments, Daz-props, Poser-figures, Poser-props and then maybe on its own or as part of a larger room set.

Is there are way of getting the old keyword search to work again?

Where are you searching? If you are searching in the Content Library are you using the database search (the default) or the file search? You switch using the button to the right of the text box - the default database search shows a lined cylinder.

Well thank you; that would explain it. A tiny box makes a big difference

Also  (since I asked support for this issue)  there is no wildcard.

 

so  if you enter    name::chair    you will get them   ( double :  )

In which pane? Smart Content supports the use of :* as a wildcard.
