Error using GenX2 to convert Gen2 to gen3

This issue may have been dealt with else where but frankly I already spent 15 minutes using the "search engine" (such as it is) to find the info I need and failed completely.

When I use GenX2 to try to convert a Genesis 2 figure (which I previously exported as a cr2 file so that GenX2 can read it), I get the following error message:

"GenX - Loading figure: HaikuHead

Loading figure file ...

Loading geometry file ...

D:/DS4 Content/Runtime/Geometries/DAZ 3D/Genesis 2/Female/Genesis2Female_20d12c21_8649_1b0b_c3f4_e2fdf8b66ec7.obj

Poser figure not supported."

The file Genesis2Female_20d12c21_8649_1b0b_c3f4_e2fdf8b66ec7.obj is from a fresh (today) installation of Genesis 2 Essentials.

I have the following GenX2 addons:

GenX2 AddOn for Genesis 2 and GenX2 AddOn for Genesis 3

Why are you exporting to CR2? That will break features of the Genesis figures and, according to the error, is not supported by Gen X 2.

Sorry to contradict, but GenX ONLY accepts cr2 and crz files as input when loading a source figure. See attached image.

If you know of a way to load duf or dsf files as source figures for GenX, I'm all ears (well, eyes in this case :) )

The main support thread is here http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/94881/genx2-update-genesis-3-add-on-commercial#latest

According to the manual, you should be using the Source button for a Genesis figure rather than the Load Figure button.

When I select "Source" there is a predefined selection, but no indication about how to load a new figure which is not in that selection.

New (base) figures require a new add-on, as far as I know. However, remember that the Victorias and so on (from 5 on) are not base figures but shapes for the Genesis base of the right sex and generation.

The error is not with Victoria but with Genesis2Female, which despite having GenX2 and the Genesis 2 and 3 addons installed, is not being recognised.
