Bluto -- Those toon-style aliens are adorable!
Well, I just got finished watching all seven seasons of Deep Space Nine. And my memory was indeed correct. I liked it better than TNG almost 15-20 years ago, and I still like it better today.
In my opinion (humble as it is), TNG hasn't really aged all that well. DS9, on the other hand, still seems as fresh today as it did when it originally aired. I found most of the "secondary" characters on the show (Rom, Nog, Dukat, Damar, Kai Winn, Vedek Bariel, etc.) to be far more enjoyable and entertaining than the entire casts of Voyager and Enterprise... COMBINED!
So... WHERE'S THE LOVE FOR DS9?!
Did not care for DS9, though I love TNG, don't see aging problems, there.
Gimme more exploring and so on and less battles, please.
To each their own. I enjoyed aspecs of all 3 shows.
Next up at DeviantART...
Absolutely brilliant, I'd love to see more of them in full settings. As amazing as the art is in this thread series (and it truly is amazing), it's refreshing to see the familiar characters in a radically different style.

Anyone looking for an alternative set of Antenna. I just posted a set over at DA
http://jaguarry3.deviantart.com/#/d5m54bv
I set them up in Poser and they haves several bones so they can be posed to suit. I haven't used them in Daz but others have and tell me they work ok so please enjoy:-)
Thank you Jaguarry! :)
EDIT:
Comming Soon... (as soon as I get permission. Kinda forgot to ask otherwise it would be available already)
render of Intrepid Pathfinder
Brunel and Crockett
Thanks for the antenna Jag!!! Thanks for sharing
Antennea , ships and clothing textures have all be updated.
Dang you gal and guys are keeping me busy with this, but I don't mind.
Thanks for all your hard work.

now that's one I like a lot. :D
Anywhere a constellation with TNG era phaser strips?
I should be posting the Mirror Universe Jumpsuits soon, just need to finish the DS mats first.
None that I have seen. The Constellation Class is not a popular model as in there is only a couple out there and I think I converted both of them.
Just trying out the Scout.
Thanks Mattymanx.
Check out the Evil Starship Factory - http://evilgenius180.wordpress.com/tag/alternate-reality/
For those who have asked for the Luna Class USS Titian, I talked to the person who designed the ship and there are no 3D models of it available atm. Several have been made but none for free. However, if anyone ever wants to make their own, he did provide a link to his website which lists the specs of the ship - http://hammerheadgraphics.iwarp.com/TitanShipyards/
there are 3d meshes of the uss titan, in fact ive sent them to several users that have asked...
would love a uss titan :)
If someone can find me a downloadable copy of a Luna Class Titian I will convert it as long as the author of the model is ok with the conversion.
And comming soon...

and
http://bridgecommander.filefront.com/file/Luna_class_texture_fix;98941 for a texture fix. Creator asks to be asked about conversions, contact details on page.
It's a BC conversion of a ST Armada 2 mod, so low rez figure, but could make a useful base for someone prepared to detail the mesh a bit.
is there a site with Star Trek ships besides Foundation 3d? I forgot my Foundation password and I have been submitting my email addy to them for almost a year and a half now and they never send me a reset link. And yes I have checked my spam folder and junk mail, and I am sure i sent the right email addy. No clue why they haven't sent me a reset.
Try this one:
http://www.trekmeshes.ch/
They host stuff in 3 differtent formats- 3D studio/Max, lwo and obj
Downloaded this conference room from LBA in the Rendo Free Stuff section.

I saw the thumbnail, liked the design, and thought that I could use it for something Trek related. Soooo... Here's a conference room at Starfleet Command (Next Gen era).
That looks great!
That looks great!
Thanks. LBA made a good model. It was very "Trek-like" to start. And isn't that what we're all looking for? ;-)

Yes. Downloaded myself with the same idea in mind, but haven't got it installed yet.

Sorry but I wont convert game models simply because I dont really know who owns the mesh regardless of who says what. That and they are very low poly.
I think it's a website blooper of somekind, just pick another personae ;-) Wait an hour or so and should be good to go.
And yes, there's Trekmeshes.
Found all kinds of things except what I was looking for! [a flat floorplan of the EnterpriseD brig - supposedly on deck 38]
These are images [not links to models] {may be a dup or 2 as several were mentioned in various websites}

They were low poly ... the original models that came with the game, and the earlier mods - after all, the game's quite old now in terms of what computers could handle back then.
Over the last few years, with the big increase in affordable computer power, certain of the BC modders are doing much higher poly ships and bridge sets than they used to, with much bigger and more detailed textures too. (The BC TWOK Enterprise bridge, for instance, is way more detailed and canon in the mesh (as well as having accurate textures) than the one at Vanishing Point - like having all those funny light fixtures and whatnot round the edge of the cieling, and the detailed wall panels.) And for many of the better bridge and ship creators there, you can be very sure they made their ships and bridges from scratch themselves, as they have WIP threads in the forum there where they detail the development (with images) over weeks and months of particular ships and bridges, from initial modelling layout of primitives to the final product, inviting comment on the way, reacting to suggestions and observations by thread contributors, with posts showing each change suggested and asked for in the thread, multiple versions of some aspect posted to get a view from others which is the better way to go, etc. You can be as sure they made their own models as you can of any of those who post their work at Foundation3D and Trekmeshes.ch.
The guy who made the BC Enterprise NX 1.5 mod (the planned but never seen development of the Enterprise in ENT, had it gone on, with an upgrade adding a secondary hull to it) actually did it in consultation with Doug Drexler, the actual designer of the NX Enterprise for ENT, over on Doug's blog, doing it according to the plan Doug had had, if ENT hadd continued through more seasons, and got kudos from Doug for doing it. So in fact the BC model of the upgraded NX Enterprise is actually the first model made of it after Doug's own, and endorsed by Doug himself.
Ignoring the resource is, to my mind, leaving aside something very useful for Trek fans who like to render Trek pictures and animations. Amongst the better quality mods from the last few years are many things I haven't seen available anywhere else. Bridges like all seen versions of the Defiant bridge, all seen versions of the Runabout cockpits, almost all shuttle cockpits from the one in STV TFF chronologically through to the Type XI in ST INS and Janeway's future one from Endgame (and the Venture Scout and Peregrine), the Nova/Equinox, Generations Ent-D, most seen Nebula bridge types, several Klingon ones from TMP and DS9 era and several others I've seen nowhere else (and most come with red alert LCARS variant textures as well as the regular ones). And there are good both canon and some rather good non-canon ships too, if you know which creators to look for for the quality ones. There's even a refit constitution TMP Enterprise with opening shuttlebay doors, and an opening airlock on the ventral saucer as in the one Spock uses for his EVA in TMP (and an EVA figure with or without the jetpack).
As I say, it's a resource for people prepared to look, find out who are the mod makers who produce the more recent quality work that can be trusted ... and also e.g. for odd ships you may need for an image or animation that will only be in the distance so the low polys on the older ships doesn't matter.
Anyway - I wasn't posting hoping you would convert any of them for me, as i find they are trivial to convert myself to DS/Poser as and when I need anything from there. Much easier than MAX, .3ds, .lwo etc. I was just pointing out that there is a Luna class USS Titan there for anyone who might want to pursue that. I have no interest in a Luna/Titan myself, so haven't downloaded that BC pack. I don't know the work of that particular mod developer, I note he says it is an Armada2 conversion, not made from scratch himself. i don't know if he has permissions from the original Armada mod developer and can supply contact details for them, though he does provide contact details for himself. By the look of the screenshots on the page, it is lower poly than most of the models by the more recent modders who do build from scratch and whose work I do like and have downloaded, examined and converted. Mind you, appropriate smoothing settings can do a lot for many models. In any case - I'm just pointing out it is there for anyone who wants a Luna, can't find one anywhere else, and would care to have a look at it, and if it looks at all useful, then pursue permissions etc.
The BC mods cost nothing to download. Nifscope is also a free (open source) download and will let you load up and examine the ships and bridges you download to see if they might be of any use without doing any conversion and without having Brdige Commander itself (which I don't) - you just unzip the free bridge or ship mod, run the free Nifscope program, and in Nifscope load the .nif file of the ship or bridge and set the texture directory. Then you can view the ship or bridge in the Nifscope viewport, rotating and zooming the view or going for a walk through (you even see any animations of turbolift doors opening, animated LCARS etc). And it cost nothing to register in the forums there, and you don't need to post to look in the Modding (for ships) or Bridge Modding sub-forums, and dig around WIP threads for interesting ships and bridges by certain of the modders to see that they are actually making their ships and bridges themselves. Plus, for something that;s not available anywhere else, taking a bridge from there that's a bit too low-poly just in, say a rail and the seat tops, and loading an obj export into a modeller and increasing the rail and seat top polys and smoothing can be a LOT quicker and simpler than modelling and texturing the entire bridge from scratch oneself. So ... anyway, it's all just a resource that's there, and costs nothing to look into for people to see if there's something that would fill a need, and if there is then just contact the modder of the mod concerned to ask for conversion permission. And if there is, and it's given, conversion to DS/Poser is very easy.
I will now disappear from posting for another year ...
Oh don't disappear! And not to take the real concerns out of context ... more so on another topic but also with some ST items over the past couple of years there were a few problems with a person or two converting items without and/or against the permissions of the original modellers and giving them away with rights they did not have for themselves, let alone for to pass on. Worse, some were claiming that they were the creators ... well, it's a small world. May take awhile, but they get found out.
Don't have the link atm but there's a beautiful Enterprise in the works and its creator is hoping that Paramount will buy it for games or whatever ... don't think the computers are made yet that could handle it in a game. But it will certainly be a treasure if/when that day comes :-) A walk through room by room Enterprise, THE Enterprise ;-)
