I thought selling something for $0.15 was stupid enough?
And Now this, Just Because....
stupid is I actually own an external usb floppy disc drive.
I bought it to use with the keyboard they had at a church I used to play at that had a disc drive.
do not know why I still have it though.
I still have stuff on floppies and diskettes. I also have a shoebox of cassette tapes with programs I recorded for Commodore 64. Hmmm, I have an extra TV. Maybe I should pull out one of the Commodores and use it.
my Commodore was a CAR!!
I have a Spectrum stored under the bed in the spare room, but it is not mine, tis Neil's who seems to think that it may be worth enough money by the time he retires to fund some of his retirement.
I found this one to be very STUPID.
I still own a fully functional Acorn Electron, data cassettes and a ZX Spectrum. Though, I have no idea where the power cable is for the Spectrum, and the caps/shift key is a bit gummy. I actually have a fair quantity of stuff still on floppy diskette, and by floppy I mean genuine 'floppy' diskettes; the 5 and a quarter inch ones. Though obviously no drive with which to use them in.
Looking back I can see my old copy of Windows 95. On a whopping 11 disks!
OK, let's hear it..
Actually, 5.25" discs are only semi-floppy -the originals were 8", otherwise a similar design.
I also remember owning a Zip Drive at one point. It was a doggedly slow parallel port high density drive which. at the time, had a capacity which rivaled cheap hard drives (Around 250Mb). I remember that I only ever ended up using it for backups due to the slow speed of parallel ports, though internal Zip drives fared much better.
That old Zip drive was left in the attic of my old home I believe. Another relic consigned to history.
Like this one http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zip_drive I hadn't used it for years, but I too left one behind when we moved here, and that was 4 years ago. Mine was an external one.
Long time I ago I used one of those drives but I no longer have it or anything related to it.
Who knows, one of these days we may have to go back to using the old equipment. Even the old Remington typewriters I still have. Darn, my daughter is right. She does live in a museum.
Here we go, but I only had the 1541 Floppy drive the rest I had, the Mon died very fast, Moms 28" TV was way better any way...
Holy 80's flashback Batman!!
Ah, still have this thing too....
you really know how to make a fella feel his age don'tcha
you really know how to make a fella feel his age don'tchaWhat about this? Still have it too...And This...
Then Stupid for the Stupid....
you're going to make me pull out the Atari 2600 aren't you?
stoopid putas!
Yep, got an Atari too. Jaderail, looks like you're ready for the good old days.
EDIT, Load "*",8,1 that loads the first file on a Floppy, remember that. Also put Menu boots on most none game Floppies, I would be good to go I think.
I'll have to dig around in my stuff. I just might have an extra connector. You know how it is with us attic-dwellers; we keep everything.
go Annie! next stupid thread queen, know you can do it!! just find something utterly stoopid for the one after 15th post this page
Colorado or Washington State?
Do I have to quit laughing first?
Probably in Australia
