Splitting up shoes after converting to prop

So, I'm setting up a shoe store scene and I need shoes that I can place in my scene.  I've figured out how to convert shoes from a figure to a prop, but the shoes are always in pairs.  Is there any way to split the shoes up easily?  I need a lot of shoes and while I can take them into a modeling program or do other tricks to split the shoes up, I need a quick way to split up shoes from each other so I can pose only one shoe if needed for my scene.  Anyone know if there is a quick method to do this that can be done inside DS?

  • Use the Geometry Editor tool to select the polygons of one shoe, right-click and select Geometry Visibility>Hide Selected Polygon(s), right-click and select Geometry Editing>Delete Hidden Polygons, save. Load the original again and repeat for the other shoe

Oh, that sounds simple enough!  Thanks, Richard, I'll give that a try!
