Question about upgrading Hard Drive DAZ Studio 4.9

Hello All! I'm going to upgrade the hard drive on my computer to an SSD Drive. When I'm done I'll have a new SSD drive as my primary drive. The old one will still be on my computer and used as storage. In doing this I'm going to have to reinstall DAZ Studio on the new hard drive. The location of my library will remain unchanged (It's currently on a storage partition and won't be moved even after I upgrade). When I reinstall DAZ Studio will this cause an issue? Will I have to do anything in particular other than point the new install to my existing library? I've heard some horror stories in regard to this. Thanks in advance.

As long as Daz knows where it is, then no.
In Daz, press f2 to bring up preferences. The content library tab is the one you need to make sure Daz is pointing to you library.
You can have libraries all over the place, and Daz should be find; I'm not saying you should, only that you could. :)

Hello to you! Why reinstall anything when upgrading the primary disk to ssd? Do you plan to change your OS also? If not, and if you buy a good ssd from a well-known manufacturer you can replace your disk with a migration program.
I did this on 3 pc with Windows 7 using the Samsung add-on migration program for replacing my c: drive with 850 EVO ssds. It only migrates the base partition and it is limited to the max data volume that the new ssd can keep.
I moved all other folders to an external usb disk, migrate and later feed the folders back. works fine and was much easier than reinstalling all of my licensed software packages.
