Animated beach scene in carrara

Hello
I would like to make an animated scene of a beach in Carrara.
Magaremoto sells here a beach scene for Carrara, "Props for Landscape Scenes: The Beach" (http://www.daz3d.com/shop/props-for-landscape-scenes-the-beach). Can it be used in animations?
Alternatively.... is there a tutorial explaining how to make breaking waves? I have searched for it withut success...
Thank you very much in advance

Ramon

I don't have the product, but I would think it can be used in animations, although the water may not make the waves you're after.

Carrara's "Ocean" feature is pretty nice, although it takes some fiddling with to see how it works. No breaking waves I think.

If you have Vue, here is a great animation available for purchase - big swells, but no breakers:

Here are some ocean waves crashing on rocks, also available for purchase, but I'm not sure how they might be animated:

Not sure if this helps, but you can check out the gallery for more details:

Maybe you can get better waves with this:

    Hello,
I do not know exactly what you wish to achieve but a few years ago I made this video
    http://www.adrive.com/public/zthPvR/wave.mp4
where you can see my clumsy attempt to animate the wave, perhaps a good animator could get something good. The idea was to provide a beach with a bit of movement in the distance like in this video test:

Thank you all for your answers!
I am trying to learn Carrara... i got a version of Vue 9 in a magazine (3D Artist I think) but I have not installed it...
I was trying to animate some people leaving the water and walking on the beach on the sand.
Magaremoto, is it difficult to animate the water as in the videos that you have shown?

    Best regards

    Ramon

actually you can easily manage the foam motion, and the wet sand recession as well, via the morph targets applied to them (or some others you may add) ; if you insert a linear wave modifier you can create a likely backwash on the shoreline. crashing waves are difficult to obtain with my product, maybe the others listed above are more suitable

Rubidium, what you are trying to achieve is incredibly difficult. The best results will come from a program that does fluid dynamics modelling, which Carrara does not have, and even then I'm thinking that it would take a lot of trial and error - and very long calculations - to get the effect you are looking for. Water and foam coming up the beach and going back will be much easier to achieve than proper breaking waves.

A new plug in coming that will import an obj sequence into Carrara may be another fluid simulation option. It's from DIgital Carver's Guild and Mark Bremmer posted about it over in the Carrara forum at Renderosity. You make the sim in Blender and export the sequnce as you would if you were using RealFlow and import into Carrara. Here's a YouTube video:

    That's good news!
I'm looking forward to the hopefully soon realisation.

    Thanks

Thank you Kevin, also consider that it was rendered on a dual core in C7 if I remember correctly!
furthermore good news from DCG, Carrarists are always hungry for great stuff for we all wait for its potential to come out
