Anyone else have to run 4.9 Beta for now?

I ran into crashes with Daz a few weeks ago that occurred any time I tried to render or preview a scene in IRay. I submitted a ticket and was told it was a known issue and I should run the public Beta of 4.9 as it is fixed in that. Indeed, the Beta does work as normal.
Just curious, anyone else have to run on the current Beta at this time? Anyone know any more about this bug?

I'm running both but doing most of my work in the release version with no crashes.
I'm running the beta exclusively.
I am running the 4.9 Public Beta and getting crashes.
Running release version with no crashes. Windows 7. Any "crashers" running Windows 10? "Of a sudden" issues often seem to come after a Windows 10 update.
Or driver updates...
I just ran across what may be a bug. I need to test further though.
Say I have a figure with mesh smoothing colliding with another object. I then take another character and apply mesh smoothing. As soon as I select the first character as the collision item for the 2nd character, Daz crashes.
If I remove the collision from the first character, then set collision for the 2nd character to the first, there is no crash.
*edit*
windows 10, Daz 4.9 Public release (not the beta)
I finally resolved this, "the hard way". I hate having to run workarounds, especially with software that I've invested a lot in and spend a lot of time using.
I set up a completely new computer (actually an old re-purposed machine), with Windows 10 and a cheap Nvidia card and installed Daz 4.9 on it completely from scratch. I didn't copy any files from my current machine. It took install manager almost two days to download and install a fresh copy of all my stuff. Then I manually installed my third party stuff. Finally I moved my scenes, renders, presets and such from my old library.
First thing I noticed is that the file system on my fresh install of 4.9 is completely different than the file system of my old instance - which was upgraded from 4.8. The new file system uses only the secure file format that Daz now provides their content in - not a mixture of the old format and new like I had before.
Long story short - the production of 4.9 is running perfectly for me now. This leads me to believe that the problem was created by the way Daz implemented the migration from their old unencrypted file system to their new encrypted one. I couldn't prove it - but hey. It works now. That's all that matters to me!
If you installed via Connect then you will have only the \Data\Cloud files - but not every item is available via Connect (notably, the fourth generation Daz humans and other items using the ExP system). Having a mix of Connect, DIM, and even manual installs should not cause problems.
I did the entire install using DIM.
Then you don't have any of the encrypted content.
