Bug: G3F Distortion
When loading a second G3F, the first one becomes corrupt and morphs into something alien-like. Is there a fix to change her back when this happens? You have to load and rebuild characters, and keep the corrupt G3F in the file in order for it not to happen on subsequent additions of G3F's.
I'm trying to produce a 3d comic and I use a lot of custom shaders and clothing combinations. So this flaw is terribly time consuming as I am constantly having to rebuild characters, apply clothing that fits other character, adjust prop earrings designed for another character, etc.
In the example included, I loaded a pre-saved G3F, Zoe. Then, loaded a second one and the distortion occured. The first one loaded is the one to the right. She grew in height, and her face got squeezed to look like an anime face or an alien face or something when adding a second G3F.
Anyway, I hope there is a solution to this. Thank you for your time.

Hi, bueller. Can you describe exactly what you are doing when this occurs? Saying "loading a second G3F" could mean a number of things. For example, are you using instancing to create the second figure? The fact that both figures in your example are apparently using exactly the same morphs, pose and clothing makes me wonder if the second character is being loaded from scratch. Are you using a preset? The more specific information you can give, the better, in order to determine a cause and remedy.
I have run into something like this. For me it happens when I have one figure selected & then load a second one. Try and make sure you do not have a figure selected--select anything else in the scene tab or click on empty space in your viewport, then load the second figure. Don't know what causes this, but that solution has always worked for me. Good luck!
Ive seen this also, my workaround is to save the figure as a shape preset then apply that after the second figure loads and the distortion occurs. I have also seen it where I definitely did not have anything selected when importing the second figure so I am unconvinced having a character selected impacts this.
The error seems happen when I loaded the third G3F into the scene, but this time it happened with the second.
For the example, I loaded an empty scene with a saved character. Then I went to "merge" and loaded the same scene so I would have identical characters so the differences would be obvious. But it happens when I load a new G3F as well. In the past, it had been the first G3F loaded in the scene that distort when I load the third G3F. But this time the error occured on number two.
I will try what rockislander suggests, but it is still a major bug.
Can you undo the distortions when it happens? Is there a way to "zero" the morphs to default G3F?
This would be easier than what I am doing now when this occurs.
I've seen this issue too. For me, simply loading two base G3F figures from Smart Content - Genesis 3 Starter Essentials into an empty scene will distort the first G3F (which is auto-selected on creation).
If I deselect everything between loads, I can can load multiple G3Fs without any disortion.
I can't reproduce the issue with G3M or G2F.
Great tips. I'll deselect G3F when I load a new G3F.
But, in case of messing up and not remembering to do it, is there any way to undo the distortions once they happen?
Did you read my post?
@gederix... I missed it the first time. Thank you for pointing t hat out.
