Bryce Colored Pencil Sketch - Quick Solution

If you like Bryce Pencil Sketches, but don't enjoy the hassle of messing with the materials, haze, clouds, etc. Have I got a deal for you.
1. Download this file: https://www.dropbox.com/s/iazleziunf9hyn4/Faux_Pencil_Sketch.zip?dl=0
2. Go into the material settings and add the desired picture (I've included 2 pictures for experimentation)
3. Go into the cube attributes and set the aspect ratio (x and y values). Although my final image size is 800 X 800, I set the attributes to 80/80.
4. Set the Document attributes to match the actual values of your final image.
5. Zoom in so the cube is completely encompassed by the view window.
6. Render.
Let me know if you have any questions. Enjoy!

Interesting method you have, thanks will give it a try.
Nice try, Art, thanks for sharing. I played around a bit yesterday but I'm not fully convinced. Nevertheless, every option may help now and then.
Three renders 1st using Art’s Faux Pencil Sketch and 2nd -Horo’s Reflection method, the 3rd an experiment.
I like both methods. Art’s method is not really a pencil sketch effect but one can use any image to get a cool art effect (3rd render-I changed the frequency a bit for the sand texture). I’m going to play some more, changing the sand texture to something else, I think I get some nice effects.
Anothe render, after changing the bump texture and increasing the Rpps.
Nice experimenting, Mermaid!
Mermaid - nice tests. For me, it worked best with the penguins.
Thanks Hansmar and Horo
I played a bit more but uploaded them to my Pinterest account. This effect of Art's is more like adding noise in Photoshop, but a bit different.
Thanks Art, I enjoyed playing with the cube and I think I will play some more at a later stage.
Thanks for giving it a whirl, mermaid. Nice experiments.
