...when the Concorde was still in service I thought it would be cool if there were a special charter flight that left London for New York, say at 01:00 on January 1st . With an average cruise speed of around 1,400 MPH and the time zone differential of 5 hours you would land at JFK airport just before 23:00 (local time) on 12/31, so effectively you could ring in the New Year again. Of course you'd have to do so at the respective airports due to the travel time from/to the city centres.
...crikey, woke up this morning to find 137 emails in the main inbox, on a Caturday when I maybe get at best 20 or so.. I would say at least 90% of them were begging for last minute donations and contributions before the end of the year. Was tha fastest I ever went though so many as it was almost a "block and tag" then "Mark as Read" situation.
Ahh the price of being socially conscious yet poor.

Morning. The best thing about new years day is two whole months of summer left to go. On the downside our sun is slowly moving north, or we moving south not quite sure right now how that works, daylight is vanishing a second at a time anyhow I guess every summer has a bit of winter embedded somewhere. Happy New Year :)

...not going anywhere tonight being I am totally broke as it is the end of the month. Had to ride the bus more than usual because of all the cold icy weather and even needed to take a cab on one occasion. Probably for the better, as I don't have to deal with a lot of drunk people, especially those who get behind the wheel. I have a bottle of ,wine brie, crackers, and some of my special "rheumatis medicine". Don't need much more.
I will not be reuintied with my tablet until next year. The first Tuesday of next year!
