    Bought Octane for Daz studio today,
    decided to part with $547 AUD on something nicer than a damned bill for a change, paid lots this week
    much bigger bills :snake:
    just playing so far

    octane has a 3D stereoscopic option but I had trouble getting it to stay set for an animation
    damn thing keeps un-enabling, I had intended a video but only got 3 frames
    also changed to red/cyan like my glasses

    Congrats on getting Octane- taking the plunge. I'm just a studio user and haven't explored enough of that to venture elsewhere. It was interesting to see the Jepe's jewels- nice job!

    some quick settings

    Octane in Daz studio 15 secs a frame

    Carrara simple dist light and fill bulb set up 36 secs a frame no IBL

    added Carrara octane render using demo, this one gonna take 19 hours for animation it says, if I could

    imported carrara ocean primitive as obj with morph targets
    but puppeteer runs out of steam after 200 frames :long:

    playing with the Octane standalone, found how to add multiple meshes but cannot figure out how to transform them
    I really do not know what I am doing :lol:

    I may have solved this but it all froze up

    Shantara takes forever to load in carrara
    Poser one seconds to render, hardly if any displacement
    duf import took 13 minutes to render but lots of displacement
