There is a really good web site here : http://www.thebest3d.com/dogwaffle/
I have it. It IS awesome. There used to be a forum for all the PD products I think. Let me see if I can find one.
Dang, I was just about to post that. You sniped me. :)
Good thing this isn't an ebay auction! lol
Here's a video by the designer of the product:

ug. the versions I have are much older it seems. PD pro 3.5 and Particles is NOT, as I thought, an addon for PD pro, but a standalone.
I see no way to use layers.... NEED IT.....
And also can't change the gradient colors....
I didn't find the forum, btw. The link was dead. There's a yahoo group but that's all, I think.
MY WORD i love what particles and PD can do... now if only could use particles, inside of PD, and with layers and more gradients..... I'd be in HEAVEN.
THe Yahoo groups has some good info even if the other forum is dead...
Re layers for example...http://tech.dir.groups.yahoo.com/group/dogwaffle/message/5070?o=1&d=-1
Apparently opaque layers were introduced in ver 4...but earlier versions can do transparent layers:
While previous versions offered 2 layers (Main buffer & Swap buffer) of mixing in additive, subtractative, multiply, divide, screen , around grey, and tracing paper
modes, version 2 adds support for unlimited layers. Multiple layers are supported along with a new layered file format.
Note: While opaque layers will be along in a future version, The layer system now supports any number of layers in the following mixing modes: Additive, subtractive, multiply, divide, screen, around grey, and tracing paper. The "Default" mode is the same as multiply.
