So I just bought the Decimator, already downloaded and installed through the DAZ installer, but now I have no idea how to access it. It's not on the Window-> Panes tab. It's not on the Customize DAZ tabs. Where can I access it?
Thanks

Have you entered the serial number, from https://www.daz3d.com/downloader/customer/serialnumbers , in Help>About Installed Plug-ins and restarted DS?
Oh, I had no idea I needed to do that. It's working now, thank you very much.
Richard, can you help me with this? I've installed it, uninstalled and reinstalled, but it's not showing up in Help>About Installed Plug-ins for me to enter the serial number! dzdecimator is in the plugins folder.
Okay, wait. For some reason it installed to DAZ 3D folder on my E: drive, I copied it to the same folder on my C: drive (where Studio resides), and now it's showing up with the message "Plugin failed to load!" and there's no place to enter the serial number. How can I fix this? The path is:
C:/Program Files/Daz 3D/DAZStudio4/plugins/dzdecimator.dll
Do the version numbrs match? it sounds as if they don't.
Which ones need to match? And how do I get it to load on the C: drive where it belongs? The installer doesn't give a choice.
What do you use to make your word ballons?
I use Paint.net for all of my graphics because it is so freaking customizible.
I type the message on a white background and draw a rounded rectangle around it, then use the magic wand on the background, reverse it (ctl+i), then cut and paste it where I want it in the image.
The stand-alone installer is getting the paths from an .ini file that lists installed Daz applications, I suspect. I can't recall where that lives, using Install Manager will allow you to set the application location.
The last to sets of numbers need to match between DS and the Daz branded plug-ins.
Install manager doesn't see it. This time I manually put it in C:/---/InstallManager/Downloads. By two numbers, do you mean "DAZStudio_4.9.2.70_ win64" and "DS4_Decimator_1.7.2.70_Win64"? Because that's what I have.

Yes.

Then the versions that I have match. So why does Studio keep telling me, in the "About Installed Plugins" window, That:
Plugin failed to load!
Version 0.0.0.0
Library could not be loaded. File is not a valid DAZ Studio plug-in, or was made for a different
version of DAZ Studio.
Is it the weird version number that it is somehow seeing? Or not seeing, whatever?

Well, Richard, this is the first time I have seen where you appear to be wrong. Customer Service has told me that, even though the numbers match, my version of Decimator will only work with the latest release of studio.
So I guess I'm out of luck. The beta version of the latest release did so much damage to my file system, I'll pass on the full version.
