SY Ultra Templates for G3M giving me "Backup" options + other oddities

So I finally bought SickleYield's Ultra Templates and while the Genesis 3 Female version works without a hitch, I've gotten these options/errors for the G3Male version.
I installed it via DIM (my content folder is on an External Hard Drive, which I've been using and installing to for the past couple weeks without any issues), I have Mac OSX El Capitain, and yeah. Not sure what the issue is, but I did notice the backslashes in the third error window are backwards from the way they normally should be.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Same with mine. Have you reported it as a bug? I haven't had occasion to use the G3M version myself. If you feel brave, you can manually edit the .dsf files and replace the %5C in all the paths with '/'. You'll have to uncompress (gunzip) them first. The 'Backup of' files just seem to be extraneous copies that either the PA or the packager left around. I'll take a closer look in the morning to decide what should be removed/edited.
Hello,
That's a packing error and a file path error, those exists sometimes, just file a bug report on the content or PM the PA directly for fastest turnaround.
The Path error is that Content should use / as path separator in files. Realy old Poser content used : (from Mac HFS+), but sometimes things go wrong and the \ ends up there, working on Windows but not on OS X.
Oh good, glad to know I'm not the only one who's had this issue. Now I don't feel like I'm going crazy!
I haven't reported it as a bug yet, but I'll send in a help ticket today. Hopefully this can be resolved ASAP, because I'm itching to use it for a couple things, lmao.
Sorry to double-post, but I got a thing back from Tech Support, and they claimed it wasn't giving them the error and that the file might've been updated recently. Tried uninstalling/reinstalling, no update and it still doesn't work.
Last resort might be to see if it works after being downloaded via Daz Connect. I can't say I'm terribly thrilled about the prospect, as I've stopped using Daz Connect b/c it made everything a tangled hydra in my files, but it's worth a shot, at least.
ETA: Couldn't find them on Daz Connect, tried offline authorization install. Nothing, no sign that it worked, except now I have a 'Duplicate ID' error for some reason. Still getting the 'Backup 1 of X' and all the dropdown options, even though I went into the folders themselves and ripped all the files off.
ETA #2: Managed to get it to show up in Daz Connect smart content. Here's hoping this works now....
It has been 4 days now, I've yet to receive any sort of answer from Daz's technical support other than "Sorry, it works for me" (and no, Daz Connect didn't work). It's gotten to a point where I've had to show the person what exactly is in the DIM/Manual Download folder. For the record, I looked at what's in the G3F file, and there's none of this 'Backup 1 of X' nonsense, or the errors I get when I try to use it via Autofit, either. None.
To say I'm frustrated would be an understatement. In the 5 years I've been using Daz's products, this is the first time something like this has ever happened to me. Since this is from one of my favorite PAs, I would much rather see this through to a resolution rather than seek out store credit/a refund, but I'm at the point where I'm almost ready to throw in the towel with this. :(
I use Windows 10 rather than Mac & had similar backup files with this product - For me, the problem was that I had installed it twice once via Dim, once via Connect. The backup files were in the Connect version only so I uninstalled that one & deleted the product folder from my Cloud library.
It would be a shame to return the product as it does a great job & in my case although the back up files were in the list when using autofit I just ignored them & the product worked as expected anyway
Some of the errors do come from not testing on OS X and having iffy paths in the duf files, which usually is because DS in 1 out of 1000 times writes the path wrong when saving.
Write back to tech support and tell them that the problem is macOS specific. DS is supposed to use portable paths (i.e. '/' separated) but in reality is rather inconsistent. I've actually seen this several times before in other products. They've always gotten fixed eventually.
