Copy of Daz Studio 4.8 Iradium

Hi relatively new to Daz... only a couple renders.  Accidentally deleted 4.8 but had a copy of 4.7... so trying to learn that version.  Looking for a copy of 4.8 Iradium. I was hoping to do animations using Daz... but need the best version for this. Any advise? Heard there was problems rendering animations in Iray 4.9 with G3 characters, etc. ty appreciate any advise

    The only versions available for download are the current and the beta.

    I'm not aware of any issues rendering aniamtions with 4.9 - and the 4.9 version of iray fixes some bugs found in the 4.8 version (not to mention that it will soonish, probably, support the new nVidia Pascal-based cards).

    I had a lot of problems with 4.8 crashing on me that I don't have any of with 4.9. You might be better off with the latest version :).

    Thank You mjc1016, Richard Haseltine, and AllenArt.  I would like to use the latest version of Daz. Does Poser Content work with 4.9? Also... The new content installer... will it install content that does not have metadata... Is there content that will not work with 4.9? Is Animate Lite Included? I have Animate Lite in 4.7 but cannot get it to work. Is  a Movie Maker function included?

    Bottom Line... I was looking for a version of DAZ where I could use Poser and Daz content, and render simple animations... with lip synch, puppeteer, and an quick animate starter program included... Does DAZ 4.9 supply these basics right out of the "boxs" ?

    If not included in DAZ 4.9, ... what is the preferred animate program/ plugin link and what is the preferred lip synch program/ plugin link?

    Appreciate it creators

    Yes, Poser content will work with 4.9. You can still install content with Install Manager (or manually) - there is a (currently small) amount of content that can be installed only via Connect, but obviosuly you are no worse off over that using 4.9 and not using Connect than you are using 4.8 and not having Connect.

    OK. Good to know... :) Poser Content will work in 4.9, DIM is still available for this current version 4.9 along with Connect. Thank You. A fresh load is imminent... Someone did send me a message that older versions of DAZ probably should not be shared except by DAZ staff if necessary. It was just an honest question... Just wanted to do simple animations and use DAZ and Poser files together with the built in features to start with. DAZ 4.9 still has the free animate lite feature? right?

    Yes, that's still there.

    Hi Make sure you also install the 32 bit version of the latest DS 4.10( if one exists) 
    as there is no free lipsynch plugin in the 64 bit versions.

    If you need lipsynch in the 64 bit DS you must purchase
    the Mimic live plugin or perhaps the "Anilip" plugin

    Just an addendum -- I believe that not all of the newer Poser models will work in DAZ Studio; some of them use their own version of weightmapping and I believe the rigging won't easily transfer to DAZ.
