Daz Studio Beta gone awol

I decided to install the Studio Beta as I have a 1080 on the way and found it is not showing in my Install Manager.

I've ticked show hidden, set it to display Public, Private and Publishing builds and the Beta still doesn't show up.

Oddly all the beta extras are there Decimator, GoZ, Photoshop bridge, etc just not the studio beta itself.

Any ideas?

If you have not installed beta,, (if you have never find beta daz studio in your DIM ), that means you have not purchased (free) beta still.

once you bought it as same as other product, DIM show you beta with the option, as download file.

Make sure you have "Software" ticked in Download Filters.

  • Also, if you have purchased from the marketplace and still don't see it, make sure you check

    "Display Hidden"

    Go to "Download Filters"

and make sure "Public Build" is checked.

I believe checking Public Build was the last thing I needed before I could install. See attached screenshot and the screens at the bottom of the page here:

By the way, it is working pretty well with my 1060 so far.

  • ...but going back over your message, I guess you covered all that except the purchase part.

Got it working now, oddly it only showed up when I ticked Connect Installed and Connect Available.

Not sure why that mattered as it hadn't been installed that way and wasn't showing up as available from Daz Studio itself.

Oh well, at least it's working now.

    One additional question.

Is there beta forums somewhere so that I can report findings?

Bug: Iray testrenders with only GTX 1070 or with GTX 970 can't change resolution. Selected Dimension preset (global) didn't change render window size. (just tested render to file and it's same viewport resolution [694 x 881] and render resolution was UHD [3840x2160] )

Known bug, fixed in 4.9.3.123, which hasn't been released yet.  The discussion thread for the beta is here:  http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/95436/daz-studio-pro-beta-version-4-9-3-117-release-candidate-2-updated

Report bugs here:  https://helpdaz.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new ; (department is Technical Support, put "DS Public Beta bug" in the title)

A workaround is to load a saved scene that has the dimensions you want, that will set them correctly.
