Using V4 in the Studio Beta?

I think I'm having a really stupid week but now I can't work out how to install V4 so that she works in the Studio Beta.

I can install her normally in the standard version but she still doesn't show as available in the installed beta.

If I uninstall V4 and Daz studio so that neither is one my system she still won't install though the beta.

I must be doing something wrong but can't work out what, help!!!

Are you remembering that the beta doesn't share the content location settings of the release version you already had installed, and you need to check manually in both versions' Content Directory Manager that everything matches? This is the most common cause of the problem you're describing — the V4 files are properly installed for the release version, but the beta doesn't know about the release version's content location so it won't include that. Check your CDM settings.

Also, remember that V4 has no DAZ|Studio format files at all, it's entirely Poser format files. If the beta isn't set up to look for Poser files, it'll never see them.

Rob has put a sample scriptt hat can be used to sync the directories between the two versions - run http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/software/dazstudio/4/referenceguide/scripting/api_reference/samples/file_io/save_mapped_paths/start in the General release, that wil generate a script which you then run in the Beta to update its directory list.
