GTX 1070 and Windows 10 Compatibility

Hi guys! I'm planning to buy a pc with a GTX 1070 and I'm wondering when will the Daz 3D studio program be compatible with it? Like any estimated dates? :)

    Don't have a 10x0 card so, no I haven't...

Plus I have one of the affected AMD CPUs.

And does it still have bugs?

    It's still a beta...so yes.

The next beta will be announced in that thread first.

The two biggest bugs, which they may be waiting for a fix from NVIDIA for, are problems with certain AMD CPUs that don't support SSSE3 instruction set and problems detecting Compute levels on MacOSX GPUs.

Oh so as long as I'm using NVIDIA and Windows it'll be fine? :)

It is still a beta, but as far as I know those are the showstopper bugs.

But if I use NVIDIA and Windows I wouldn't experience those problems right? And also when is the final polished updated program be released?

If you have an Intel CPU, yes.  When it becomes a general release depends on what bugs people find.

Yup the Intel is i5 6th generation, is that okay?

  • Hi guys! I saw in the site that only Windows 7 and 8 are compatible, is Windows 10 also compatible? Planning to buy a pc and I wasn't the latest software of Windows to be used.

  • Hi guys! I've read in the website of Daz that it's only compatible with Windows 7 and 8 and I'm planning to buy a pc and I want the software to be the latest of Windows. So is Windows 10 compatible with Daz 4.9?

Daz Studio? Yes, quite a few of us are running it under Windows 10.

    Merged threads.

So it doesn't have any bugs there? By the way I'm planning to use the beta Daz because the Gtx that I'm using is 1070. Have you tried that on Windows 10 as well?

DS in general works fine in Win10. The current BETA still does have a few bugs, though.

  • Yes, though I don't have a 10x0 card - but others do. What CPU do you have? There does seem to be a crash situation with some older CPUs.

  • Merged the Windows 10 compatibility and 1070 compatibility threads since they are covering the same ground, so people are repeating information that has already been given.

The cpu that I'm going to buy has the Intel i5 6th generation sky lake

Are the bugs that major? I want to buy the pic with the Gtx 1070 already because it's the future, I mean Daz will eventually update its system anyway but yeah are the bugs that major?

    That should be fine.

For those of us who have an affected CPU, yes they are.  But that mainly affects older CPUs (5 or more yrs older) and not anything that would be in a new computer.

    @unknownmystery445

Windows 10 will present its own set of issues for you, not just with Studio either. Good luck.
