iRay Bloom Filter only on chosen Emission Lights (mesh lighting)

Hey,

I am using iRay Bloom Filter say somewhat high at 0.125 but I only what it to create bloom effective on individual models that I've turned on emmision lighting for and not the 'Sun & Sky' lighting that I'm using as the main light source in the iRay render. Is it possible to do that?

Thanks.

It's an 'all or nothing' setting.

OK, thanks. I guess I'll probably turn it off then but it does make the iRay 'Sun-Sky' look foggy when you are looking for that effect.

Yeah, it's nice, but affecting all the lights does limit it to either low amounts or what it can be used with.

This is where a multipass render would come in handy. Render normally without the bloom, and then do another Beauty pass with bloom on, but just with the emissive objects.

Or simply add the bloom as a (masked) layer effect in Photoshop. That takes just seconds.

That's probably the easiest way, too...

And as a side note, a lot of the time, in production work, bloom is composited in later/added as a postwork effect.

Depending on the size of the bloom, do a bloom-less render, then do spot renders on the area round the required lights, saving as png then overlay in post?

Thanks for the tips. They will come in handy.
