Export formats missing (DAZ 4.9 PRO)

DAZ Documentation Center:

Exporting 3D Objects

You can export 3D objects to a variety of different file formats using the File menu> Export or the File menu> Save As commands. When you use export, only the current selection is exported. When you choose Save As, the whole scene is exported.

Exporting 3D objects allows you to interact with other 3D applications. It also allows you to create 3D content for the Web.

Supported Formats

You can use these file formats to export 3D objects:

  • 3D Studio (3DS format)

  • 3DMF (Apple's QuickDraw 3D format)

  • After Effects (CAE)

  • AI

  • DXF

  • EPS

  • DirectX format

  • Flash (SWF)

  • Kaydara FBX (Pro version only)

  • Shockwave (W3D)

  • SVG

  • VRML

  • Wavefront OBJ

In my PRO version, missing formats are VRML, SVG, W3D, SWF, DirectX, EPS, DXF, AI, 3DMF, CAE and 3DS. If I go to FILE-EXPORT, I will get these instead:

FBX, BVH, DAE, CR2, MI, OBJ,U3D and MDD. So whats going on with my PRO-Version?

Comments

  • Are you sure it's the Daz Studio docs you are looking at, not Carrara or Bryce?

Oh, I am very sorry, I searched for daz3d export formats and found this documentation. Maybe I missed to check in the headline which program is it for. Sorry again, my fault.
