This is the error message I am getting from the D.I.M. How can I fix this, or do I have to file a ticket on it?
- Install Manager cannot find a required path. The package for "DSON Importer for Poser (Win 64-bit)" requires that the installed path for "Poser Pro 2014, Pro 2012 (64-bit)" be defined. Make sure that a path for this application is present on the "Applications" page of the "Settings" dialog, then try again.

You may need to lie - though I thought the last update for DIM added Poser 11 as a possible target. Anyway, click the gear icon at top-right of the DIM interface to open preferences, then go to the Aplications tab and either edit the entry for Poser 11 to make it read Poser 2014 or add a new application by clicking the + button, set its options to Poser Pro 2014 64 bit, and set the path (with the ... button) to point to Poser 11 64 bit.
After I click on the aplications tab then set up top part for poser, I clicked on the bottom button and it went into the DIM file place and there was nothing there saying anything about Poser at all.
If you are expecting that to add a new destination to the bottom of the Ready to Download/Ready To Install tabs that isn't what you are doing - you are telling DIM where the application is, so that it can install things that need to go to the applications folder (such as plug-ins like the DSON Importer). Content locations, which appear in the pop-up list, are set in the installation tab of preferences - that's a separate thing.
no no I did all that you said to do and when I clicked on the bottom button like you said it takes me to files on puter and none of the files say anything about poser at all
The ... button to set the path? You do have Poser isntalled? if so you want to select its application folder - C:\Program Files\Smith Micro\Poser 11 or soemthing like that on Windows.
no and I never did before, and it went in no problem with my last laptop.
and also too each and every time I go into my daz now it is shutting down saying there is some sort of internal fatal error
I have tryed uninstalling it and reinstalling it 4 times now and still the same error meassge comes up and it shuts down on me
I am running
AMD Quad-Core Processor A8-6410 (Up to 2.4 GHz)
Windows 10
6 GB DDR3 L Memory
AMD RadeonR5 Graphics
1000 GB HDD
I mean it is new laptop and was so looking forward to rendering some great IRay pics buttttt........ got to get this figured out first I guess.
If you don't have Poser then don't install the DSON Importer - that is a plug-in for Poser, to enable it to use (some) DS format - that is, DSON - content.
and also too each and every time I go into my daz now it is shutting down saying there is some sort of internal fatal error
Do you have a screen shot of the error message?
how do I do that on laptop?
I figured it out how to do screen shot!!!
Here it is:
I get that nearly every time I close Daz. Since my error doesn't pop up until I'm done and close Daz myself, I just ignore it.
If yours is keeping you from using Daz, then that's a problem :( There might be a clue in the log files
Please click the More... button and post a screenshot of that - it has a bit more information.
Here is the error report I will post the more shot in a couple mins
Edited to add the More Shot:
FWIW, the Doser DSON Importer tool is purely a Poser-based script, and only installs those scripts into the poser space (if it can find it). If you don't have poser, it's not needed.
That also implies that DazStudio has no interaction with that package! It is only ever called/used by Poser to import DAZ DSON file contents from those sorts of files. You could remove DazStudio completely, and the DSON-Importer should still work in Poser, and you could remove the DSON-Importer completely, and Daz Studio would have no idea or care that it was gone.
I mention this because the other errors you are seeing (bummer), really can't be related to the DSON-importer issue if my understanding is correct. I say this because I think something completely unrelated is causing your DazStudio issue.
I had that error for a while too about a year ago, and not only did I uninstall DS with their uninstall tools, but I also manually went into my 'C:\Program Files\... Daz directories and moved 'the remains' out of the way before re-installing.
Hope this makes sense,

That is a known issue with the Appliation Improvement Programme, which you presumably opted into at soem point. Try temporarily disconnecting frm the net, start DS, then in Ediy>Prefernces opt out of the improvement program.
I took it all outta my laptop and took all the remained stuff and reinstalled Daz Studio and now waiting to get all the contents loaded back in (Like hairs, outfits charactors etc....) then I will let you know if it worked just as soon as it gets done.
Edited to update it now only seems to happen when I try to log into the store through Daz Studio itself.
Is there any way we can fix that issue with shutting down when I try loging in to the store part of Daz Studio?
As it is very annoying to shut down cause of trying to log in.
Ok I guess no one is going to answer me so I guess I am going to take out Daz for good cause I can not use it the way it is now!!
Edited to Add: I opted out of the Improvement program as well Richard but it still shutting down on me when I try to log into Daz Connect.
Is this the Beta or production build?
It is whatever one you download off the front page of Daz, I think it is Pro Build.
You see I just got my new laptop which is amazing btw, I have all this great memory and so ready to start rendering in IRay butttttt........with this issue of it crashing when trying to log into Daz Connect I have to put everything on hold.
I can not download all the stuff I need that DIM didn't install or properly installed etc,,,,,,
PLZ help me!!
Going nuts without being able to set up a scene or render or etc......
You could try the beta, but what content is DIM not isntalling? Aside for a very small number of encrypted, Connect-only, items it should handle everything so if it isn't there may be another issue complicating matters.
What other issue could it be?
and it is a lot of my stuff I just got like the G3F&M Morphs, some of the new and old hairs, a couple of the outfits I got for M&V4, etc......
It didn't load properly I am guessing into Daz so tryed to download it from connect by double clicking the Icon in the Install tab that popped up right when I first went into Daz when I put it into the new laptop and the login thing popped up and I click on it, it gets to about 50% then Daz shuts down on me and then the error thing comes up.
I can't even render in IRay because the IRay Uber Base is not loaded in as well only in 3Delight.
You can close this descusion because Daz has replyed to my ticket and it has been fixed!!
I had to update a couple of drivers for my AMD A8 Graphics Card that the help center gave to me for the daz connect to finally log in.
Good, I'm glad there was a fix - and surprised that was it.
To be honest with you I never even thought it was to do with my graphics card at all
I was sure surprised to read that it was traced back to my AMD A8 Graphics card drivers.
