Item not showing up in window

I give up...I open up item and it shows in scene window, but not main render window..

What did I mess up and how do I fix it????

You have closed your Viewport, go to Window / Panes to add it back.

That's because you don't actually have a viewport...go to Window > Layout > Select Layout and reload the layout.
