How can I animate a texture change?

I want to do a "transformation" (from a demonic character to a more-or-less human one -- and vice versa) in an animation.  I searched the forum, and found exactly one discussion thread that deals with what I'm trying to do; unfortunately, it's from about four years ago, and was, essentially, unresolved.  (There was a reference to using the Shader Mixer to do the deed, but without any documentation on how the Shader Mixer actually works....  Yeah, that was helpful.)

I can do it in Poser without a problem; it's how to do it in DAZ Studio that has become an issue, because the character I want to "transform" is one of those HD DAZ-Studio-only characters (despite the fact that it is Genesis-2 based).

Here are a couple of screen-shots of what I want to do, and how I did it in Poser:

I used a Blend function to make the change, from Input_1 to Input_2.  The Blender node is pointing to the first input ('Blending' value of 0.00) at the beginning of the transition, and is switched to the second input ('Blending' value of 1.00) at the end, 360 seconds later:

(And yes, I added the tighty-whiteys expressly for this post; that's why I didn't bother dealing with the poke-through issue!)

Then, all I had to do was to render the animation.

What I need to do now, is to figure out how to do this in DAZ Studio.  Has anybody already figured this out, and is willing to share the secret?
