Hi.
When rendering an extremely simple scene with one custom character (Gen3-based/no hair/no props/no lights) + HDR Environment (various) in the log file of the messages began to appear:
- "WARNING: dzneuraymgr.cpp(261): Iray ERROR - module:category(IRAY:RENDER): 1.5 IRAY rend error: Unable to allocate 134217728 bytes from 9506816 bytes of available device memory"
- WARNING: dzneuraymgr.cpp(261): Iray ERROR - module:category(IRAY:RENDER): 1.3 IRAY rend error: CUDA device 0 (GeForce GT 540M): Scene setup failed
- WARNING: dzneuraymgr.cpp(261): Iray ERROR - module:category(IRAY:RENDER): 1.3 IRAY rend error: CUDA device 0 (GeForce GT 540M): Device failed while rendering
- WARNING: dzneuraymgr.cpp(261): Iray ERROR - module:category(IRAY:RENDER): 1.3 IRAY rend error: All workers failed: aborting render
- WARNING: dzneuraymgr.cpp(261): Iray WARNING - module:category(IRAY:RENDER): 1.3 IRAY rend warn : All available GPUs failed.
Rendering continues on the CPU. Previously this problem has not been observed.
NVIDIA 540M/1GB dedicated VRAM:
GPU: 1 - GeForce GT 540M
Memory Size: 1023.8 MB
Clock Rate: 1344000 KH
Multi Processor Count: 2
Cuda Version: 2.1
- run only DAZ Studio (4.9.2.70 x64/Iray 2015.3, build 246000.20154, 26 Apr 2016, nt-x86-64-vc11)
It can be caused and how you can cure? Clearing the cache didn't help.
Comments
1GB of VRAM is not very much at all. What Operating System is this with? If Win 7 you may get a bit more available by turning the Aero 'theme' off.
Thanks SimonJM.
Me confused presentation of information in the log.
In beta 4.9.3 expanded output and it has become evident that tiff-textures occupied more than 1GiB of RAM. Questions have disappeared.
