V4, M4, M3 Legacy Mat & Morph Support Support in Daz Studio

I've noticed that many of my mat files don't apply correctly to M3 in DS 4.9. It applies it all wonky. So I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or this is simply Poser functionality that is not supported.
Also, when working with M4 or V4, often times when I apply something like a legacy face morph or morphs ++ for example in DS, the morph is not applied at all. Is this also not supported in DS?
Can anyone add clarity if this is supposed to be supported or not in DS?

Materials are not interchangeable between the third and fourth generation Daz figures, so if you are using Michael 4 mats on Michael3 that will fail.
Most morphs are supported in DS -certainly those from the Daz store. Items that inject a morph from a .pmd file will fail, however.
Richard,
No. To be clear. I am trying to use a Michael 3 mat pose on M3. Namely this one. http://www.daz3d.com/m3-vampyre-texture. DS tries to apply it doesn't line up right.

The same goes respectively for the morphs on M4 and V4. The products are made for the figures.
Any ideas?

Is there any sort of work around for this within DS?
Not really...there are ways of doing it if you have Studio 3 or have Poser.
Here's a thread on various ways

It's Michael 3, not M3 to M2 (or similar, if there was a figure like that)? Please post an image for what you are getting, showing just the ehad or head and upper-body if it's nude.
Well, I tried it on a different install and it totally worked, so I guess it must be a configuration issue.
