Ever head of Radeon ProRender?? Very interesting...

If you've never heard of Radeon ProRender you should check this out:  http://www.amd.com/en-us/innovations/software-technologies/radeon-pro-technologies/radeon-prorender

If this product is half of what they say it is...just wow!  Rendering on ANY CPU or GPU with load balancing?  Holy-moly Mother Makree!!

I've heard a rumor that there is a big announcement in the works for this render engine before end of the year.

Thoughts?

Yes, this is the renderer that I hope gets integrated into DAZ Studio along side iRay eventually. The video card industry is already too expensive.

  • if it could at least have some import features such as octane render standalone has added like obj and alembic I am certain a few non-nividia owners would be happy

(I have a nvidia 980ti but was thinking of oneday building a second CPU based render monster PC with lots of cores and RAM and could use this on that)

Wow. At some point, it's going to be hard to tell a 3D render from a photograph. Sometimes it already is. Those renders are amazing.
