Install Manager: Tried to install something, but couldn't

I had purchased the "V4 Elite Texture Marie Ca" today, but I had a hard time trying to install it.  This is the message I got:

Install Manager cannot find a required path. The package for "V4 Elite Texture: Marie Ca" requires that the installed path for "Carrara 8.5, 8, 7.2" be defined. Make sure that a path for this application is present on the "Applications" page of the "Settings" dialog, then try again.

What would I have to do in order to install it?

    You should just need to set the path to the version of Carrara that you have installed...

    So I would have to purchase and install Carrara in order to install the Marie package?

    If so, then that's money well wasted on my part.  Unless there's a free Carrara to install?

    If you don't have Carrara, then you don't need the Carrara version...the Studio version is all you need and it should have downloaded and installed in DIM.  The texture maps are more or less 'universal' and the Carrara parts are the presets/shaders for Carrara and are not needed to use it in Studio or Poser.  The package lists Studio, Carrara and Poser presets.

    Go into the settings for DIM and under Software make sure that Carrara is not selected and it should then not look for/download those parts.

    I unchecked the Carrara versions, and i tried to install the Marie textures. No luck.  Did I miss something?

    Could you please provide a step-by-step instructions on what I would have to do in order to install the package?

    I did notice the tags on the package were Carrara 8.5, 8 and 7.2.  Does that mean I need the Carrera program in order to install the package?

    Yes.  Those two letter endings on many of the packages are versions for different software suites.

    "SomeOtherPackage Br" is for Bryce

    "AnotherPackage Ca" is for Carrara

    "YetAnotherPackage Ps" is for Photoshop

    "APoserPackage StudioCF" is a small package of compatibility files that goes with "APoserPackage"

    "AStudioPackage PoserCF" is a set of compatibility files that goes with "AStudioPackage"

    etc., etc.....

    If you don't have/use Carrara, any packages with the "Ca" at the end can be ignored or deleted.

    If you don't have Bryce, any packages with the "Br" ending can be ignored or deleted.

    etc.

    When you see DIM  "ready to download" section,, can not you find "V4 Elite Texture Marie" but "V4 Elite Texture Marie Ca" onlly?

    if there is no package for daz studio, ("V4 Elite Texture Marie") ,, I think the product miss package.  (though I can not check it)

    if there is ("V4 Elite Texture Marie") ,,  both version should include texture for each aprication. then you only need install it , in spite of Ca package. 

    I think there should be three install package, about same product. (if you keep  download option for carrara too)

    when you go to your Account, then check product library, and serch by "marie",,  how many package to install? 

    or simply serch product by "marie" in your DIM,, then which package are shown

    Eg I have V4 Elite "maya", then if I check it my product library, I find three package.

    V4 Elite Texture: Maya Ca

    V4 Elite Texture: Maya

    V4 Elite Texture: Maya StudioCF 

    then if I check DIM I can see all three package,, But  I may need to install  these two only.

    V4 Elite Texture: Maya (core)

    V4 Elite Texture: Maya StudioCF 

    the StudioCF may offer  preset to adjust material for DAZ studio shader.  then I need it with Core package (for poser)

    then downaload and  install those two package for daz studio. but there is no meaning to install V4 Elite Texture: Maya Ca , if you are not Carara user. 

    Can you see those three package in your DIM ?
