Missing Expressions Michael 7
I am a very new use to Daz3d. Not sure if this is the right place for this question or not.
I purchased the Michael 7 pro pack which includes some expressions. However with content filtering on I don't see any expressions under the poses tab. I also have Victoria 7 and her experssions appear there. If I turn off content filtering I can find the expressions by searching for the term "expression" or the term "M7". If I use the term M7 with content filtering off then there is an expressions tab under poses and it shows me the correct expressions. If I just use the term "expression" it show me all the expressions both male and female. If I turn content filtering on the expression tab disappears altogether when M7 figure is selected. It reappears when Victoria 7 is selected.
I used DIM to install all the content.
My questions: Is this normal? If not how do I fix it?
Thanks for any help or advice.

Are you looking in the Smart Content pane or the Parameters or Posing panes?
I am trying to look in the smart content pane. I assumed that I would see all content there that was applicable to the character selected (for example Michael 7). Is this not the way to do it?
I have also purchased a bundle which includes an environment, poses, clothing etc. that can be used to assemble another a scene. None of those items appear in the smart content pane either. If I uncheck the content filtering and I enter appropriate keywords I can eventually locate the content so it is clearly there. It would be nice though if this stuff showed up under the smart content tabs in the appropriate content groupings.
That does sound like an issue with the metadata for the items, though depending on how they are set up you may find the expressions in the Shaping pane (under Pose Controls on the figure node or the head bone).
If you find the files with Filter by Selection off do they in fact apply correctly?
Try searching by SKU in the Smart Content Pane: sku::23347
Thanks for helping.
Searching by SKU returns no results under smart content or under content library. If I can find the item by searching their names it will load properly. The problem is not only does this not appear correctly in smart content some content does not seem to appear at all.
Something is definitely messed up though. I have done some investigation and I hope I can explain all this properly. I will just use one example of what I have found.Just to be clear this example is from another product not the Michael 7 pro bundle that I mentioned in my original post.
It seems that if I go to preferences -> content library -> content directory manager ->DAZ studio formats I see that it has two directories shown there. They are essentially:
C:\Users\user\Documents\DAZ 3D\Studio\My Library
C:\Users\Public\Documents\My DAZ 3D Library
Poser formats also show the same two directories.
The content in question is shown in DIM as smart content but it doesn't all show up either in smart content or in the content library. I can find some of the content by going to content library -> products and then opening the folder which is labeled with the first letter of the name of the product. In the case I am describing this was a bundled product so there are several individual items there such as environment, poses, expressions etc. Each of these is a separate product and available as a stand alone product. If I click on the icon for say environment I see the various items there and I can load them from there. However in one case (that of expressions) it shows the package installed but if I click on the icon I only see couple of icons one essentially labeled as hint which says that posing dials are located under posing controls and the second which is basically labeled Zero Dials. There are however no expressions. If I open the file location of these two icons I see they are located in:
C:\Users\user\Documents\DAZ 3D\Studio\My Daz Connect Library\data\cloud\1_35721\people\genesis 3 female\expressions\i13\cr expressions of teaching
If i got into DIM and look at the location of the installed files I find the expression files are located in:
C:\Users\Public\Documents\My DAZ 3D Library\data\DAZ 3D\Genesis 3\Female\Morphs\i13\CR Expressions of Teaching
So it appears that this particular package is installed partly in one directory and partly in the other. I am thinking this may be part of the problem I am having.
I didn't set up this directory structure it was how the program installed itself by default.
So the obvious question is how do I fix this? Do I need to unistall everything and try to reinstall in a manner forcing the program to use only one directory for everything? Any and all advice is greatly appreciated.
Just another data point. It seems that the expressions that I mentioned in my previous post are the only things truly "broken". If I go to smart content -> product and select "all" I can see all my products and seem to be able to access them all (so far as I can tell) except for the expressions I mentioned above. There is an icon for the expressions but clicking on it only show sme the Zero Expression pose that I mentioned. However all the expressions appear to be installed but somehow not linked properly. Any idea how I can fix this? I tried to uninstall and reinstall but the issue persists. So it may be something to do with how this particular item insalls itself.
Seems I have a lot to learn!
Thanks.
I may have found my solution. It seems that if I load a scene and select the female character and then load the Zero Expression pose it creates a whole set of dial or sliders that allow me to create the expressions that I want. I am very new at this and so I assumed the experssions would have been presets like the ones I used previously but it appear that in fact they are more or less custom (which is great). I guess I am demonstrating my lack of knowledge of the program but I am happy that things are moving on the right course. A lot to learn for sure.
