Is there a way to give my Genesis character morph a different colour on each eye?

    I think it should be doable if you select each eye separately and each time choose different color. Never tried it though.

    When I went to the Surfaces pane, I could only find the Irises tab that allows me to change the colour of both eyes at once. No way of changing one eye at a time.

    I just changed the eye colour in one of the eyes, by going to the surfaces tab, selecting the mat from the drop down list, opening it in Photoshop Elements, new layer, change colour, save as a different name, and load it through the Diffuse tab in the Surfaces pane again. It only took a couple of minutes, and it is not particularly well done, but it was easy enough.

    One way is find the texture file being used for the eyes and edit it in a paint program.

    Don't forget to save it with a different name! :coolsmile:

    one another way,, you can assign new surface group by poligon group editor, then use another texture for new group.

    I set new surface group about only left part of Iris, and corona.
    and apply different texture about Iris and left_Iris in surface tab Editor.
    then save if as scene subset, I can use this character, who have two surface group about her eye.
    (but everytime need to set texture for new left iris group in surface tab,,
    though about another surface group has not changed so you can use other material preset)

    if you have a some preset for eye color, it seems easy.
    but keep it in your mind,, never save it as figure or overwrite genesis @@;
    you need not change surface group of genesis..

    thank you Jimmy.

    (about three months or more,, I tweak and refine again and again,, about this character ^^;
    for me,, this character is main figure,, not genesis zero shape^^;,,
    and made so many morph this character ^^; then I serch many items for genesis (not zero genesis, for this character ^^;)

    then,,, my way seems not good way for new user.

    because first need to learn, how to use poligon group editor,,^^;

    if someone try it,, Canary 3d tutorial seems good to learn about material zone and poligon group editor,,

    it is for clothing, but same about genesis surface group.

    once made it, and save it as subset, (not figure or character,, just save as subset,)
    the character can be use as same as genesis,,, .

    Thanks kitakoredaz, that is a very useful link.

    I copied the link to the PDF document (and downloaded it) about the Polygon Group Editor, and I'm sure it will come in useful for some of our new users.

    kitakoredaz great suggestion I use the Polygon Group Editor tool all the time. I love how we can select one ploy and grow the selection with a few clicks...just like any good modelling program can do.
