DaZ shuts down when clicking the editor tab.

An ominous technical problem that I hope has a simple enough solution or at least isn't unheard of.
I'm a new user trying to learn the controls of DaZ and while going through the tutorial guides I have encountered a consistent error that caused my DaZ session to imediately close down without prompting for saving.

The error always comes up when I am prompted to modify the active render and change it to the Nividia Iray.
Whenever I click on the 'editor tab' to try this (as shown in the attached image), my session imediately ends and the programme closes without any explanation, warning or error message.
I want to know what causes this sort of issue in DaZ and whether there's anyway to avoid or fix it?

  • There are changes to the Interactive Tutorials in the betas, so you may need to try the current public beta to avoid this.

  • I see. So it's more of an error to do with the tutorials, then. That's fair enough.
In that case could I ask for a pointer in how to access the public beta tutorials?
Does that require a sepearte software download? Or is it just a matter of finding them through DaZ via different means than just selecting the lessons from the lower toolbar?

  • It's the beta version of DS you want - which will run alongside the release version. http://www.daz3d.com/daz-studio-beta Having gott hat, you may need to click the Download Filters button in the Ready to Download tab of Install Manager and check Public Builds to get it to show.
