32 Bit DS4.0 and 64 Bit DS4.5 on same machine?

Have a quick question and wondered if anyone has tried this. Because I still need DS4 for testing reasons and would like to start using DS4.5, I am wondering if I could have both on my machine with having one a 32 bit and the other a 64 bit.

As far as I know no this is not possible but some of the computer savvy folks might know a way around this issue.

There is no way to keep DS4 and DS4.5 on the same machine that I know of. Even using a partition does not work. There have been several threads about this, and I have never seen anyone who could do it on the same machine. If you hang on, I'm sure someone will take a stab at it :)

Why not just upgrade to to 4.5?

It will open your saved .DAZ files, and all of your previous content, rendering is faster too, what is stopping you?

I was able to do this.
    I am running Win7 64 bit.

    I uninstalled both.
I left the content manager installed when it asked when uninstalling
Then installed DS 4.5 as 64 bit
Then installed DS 4.0 as 32 bit

They seem to co-habitate fine this way.
If you can't run 64 bit on your machine you are probably SOL though.

Did you need to backup your DS4.0 content folder (so the Genesis items wouldn't get uninstalled when you installed 4.5) and copy them back so you have both the ,duf and ,dsf versions?

Before uninstalling DS4 32bit, use a compression program such as Winrar to compress the whole program folder for DS.

Move that compressed file to a new location of choice

    Uninstall DS4 32bit

    Install DS4.4 64bit

Install DS45 content to a new location (different from DS4 content)

Decompress the DS4 RAR file to a location of your choice and create a shortcut for it.

Now you have both available to you.

Took the plunge and installed both last night. I am happy to say that I have DS4.0 on my machine as a 32 bit and now have DS4.5 as 64 bit. *does the happy dance* Thanks everyone!
