Quick question about downloading DAZ purchases

I'm sorry if this has been asked before but I couldn't find an answer.

I bought the DAZ PC Jade Hair for Genesis. I am a Poser user with DSON. I understand that I need to download and install the "Poser Companion Files" since that's obvious. I'm only guessing that I need to download and install the DS Core files. My guess is that it has core files that the other Poser specific file doesn't have; thus "core". Is that right? What I don't get is why there is a file labeled "Legacy". What is that for? I have no clue.

I hope someone can clarify all this. By the way, I don't use DS at all.

    For P9/PP2012 you need the DSON Core and the Poser Companion Files.

    Legacy is for people using DS4.0 rather than 4.5
