How to adjust outfit with no translucency map?

Good day, 

I recently purchased the Sci-Fi Slotted Dress with a specific idea in mind. I want to remove a few of the slots and thought this would be easy to do with an adjustment to the transparency map. The problem ... I cannot find one. I searched through my folders, I even got the original files and unzipped them to look through ... and nothing like transparency or bump maps ... just textures (which do easily modify the color of the dress). What am I missing?

I don't have that outfit,but looking at the promo pics (final one seems to be un-textured) it looks like the slots are modelled into the dress, not using transparency.

(Try setting your display to wireframe and you should be able to see whether they are actual slots.)

Thank you, Melanie, for the quick response. I have only tried to change a few items in this way in the past. It is obvious now that this method is not available for this outfit. The un-textured promo should have been a clue (but I did not recognize it). The wire frame confirms what you suggested. I shall move on ... perhaps I can make my idea work with a bodysuit or even a portion of the Morphing Fantasy Dress. Thanks again.
