So I've had the G2M Tuxedo on my wishlist a while but it is pricey. Does it not render as good as it costs?

  • I would prefer to have something that was made for G3M to be honest

I have g2m one. It fits okay on g3m the tie mangles in Autofit and i am not fond of the neck region. I tend to find the neck and collars of male clothing to be a real hassle.

Exactly why we need one for G3M or at the very least give us one when Genesis 4/V8/M8 Launches later this year

I know what you mean as I have the G3M rugby shorts and the roller derby outfit on the G3F and have the characters posed in a same but somewhat common base pose on one knee and the lay of the skirt & shorts is totally toon looking. Fine, I like toons, but I think I will buy the VWD product next month.

Other thing I might try is exporting to Unity & use their cloth dynamics. And I think many G3 clothing sets are not up to snuff PBR texture set wise. It often looks fake, flat, and often distorted.

Looking at the G2M Tuxedo cut, it is typical although the button to close the coat and the bowtie especially are oversized. Tuxes tend to be cut clingy but not to the tune of autofit clinginess, which isn't even possible, but that's how D|S works and it's certainly easier than dynamic cloth.

    I used it here http://www.daz3d.com/gallery/#images/175191

Textures all have to be redone. It was ok. Just should've been able to handle mild poses like that. For some reason necks collars and such have become problematic with gen 3 male.

Hmm...looks good to me but you are right the collars look too thin. Collars cause me trouble in auto-fit too especially if I have a very large toon body morph applied.

The bigger the neck and the buffer the guy the worse the collars look.  But many of the Genesis 3 native shirt collars look bad so it isn't just a conversion problem or a size issue. A lot look More like medieval style collars than modern clothing kinda oddly flat. I can only surmise it is a tough section to model I guess or that modellers don't understand my liking of a nice crisp looking collar with the ability to unbutton it.

  • Lol that sounds about right

I  purchased one from the DAZ3D store.  Just do a keyword search for  "tuxedo".
