Easy way to shape Genesis shape?

So bit of a context here.

I'm really determined to recreate MMD shapes in Daz3D as they are the only ones that really have the anime feel going for them.

However I'm slowly approaching the limit on what I can do with morphs and realized that I wont be able to go any further without model sculping/geografting.

Here's my pickle

What I did was the following:

1) Imported a MMD model via MMD Importer

2) Made a render of its face

3) Set the image as a background

4) Shaped Genesis to the closest way I could while still making its original expression morphs workable

5) Set Genesis Opacity to 25% so its transparent

6) Created a Geometry shell and used free Geometry shell outliner that comes with manga shaders etc

7) Alligned them together

What I want to do from here is be able to select specific vertices and allign them with MMD countour you can see behind.

Is it possible to do so in Daz? Or is there a 3rd party software that allows to set it up same way I did here in Daz?

  • You might be able to do that with DForms, but really it's the sort of task that would usually be handled in a modeller. I'm not sure that usinga 2D guide is the ideal way to go, even so.
