Terra Dome 3 Question
I have really started to dig into Terra Dome 3 which is an incredible product!! But I have an issue that I am not sure how to fix. I have built a TD3 valley with 2 Zone B mountain ranges and merged the Country Resort. Overall looks pretty good, need to add tress and stuff. I would like to vary the gassy set up on Zone A more, but that is a whole other question. Right now the problem is how to fix the swimming pool. The grassy material for Zone A interfers with the pool, Render 1. I can drop the Y trans on Zone A to -216 or hide Zone A to clear the pool, Render 11. But both of those options obviously creates other major issues. My first guess was I need to add an Opacity map to Zone A that hides the pool area and lets the rest show. I do not know how to make that map. But even if I could, when I look at Zone A Sufaces, there is no option for an Opacity map.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

You could try using a deformer, although if you do that you probably will need to keep the A-zone in high resolution of at least SubD 1. That can be a little slow (though I'd try doing it in base resolution first, maybe it'll be fine).
Just move the deformer to the pool area and push the plunger down. If you aren't familiar with deformers it might take a few tries to get the field worked out right.
The reason there isn't a simple opacity map is that the TD3 surfaces use a multilayered special shader, which complicates matters.
The other option is to play around with the zone-a morphs and see if there's one that happens to put a depression where the pool is. That would be easier except there's a lot of hunt and peck.
Hi William,
Thanks for the tip. Have done very little with d-formers so far, but after some internet searching and trial and error got it to work. Pool bottom is visible without any impact on Zone A outside of the Country Resort foot print.
Thank you very much!!
Stopped this at 36%, but it's starting to look better. Now to get going with Ultra Scatter to get some trees spread around Zone A and B
