My first render of the year. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did creating it. This year is the year of horror for my renders lol.

    Beautiful Albino Snakes there Shawn!!! She is beautiful as well loving her eyes so magical. 

    Love the way that snake on the desk is wraping itself around her.

    I "left the film industry" last year and took a "normal" job so I could be with my family more.

    I'm not completely finished with filmmaking just yet though. My wife and I are also starting our own production company specializing in horror/haunted everything.

    We plan to open our first haunted house this year and eventually sell props and sound fx. Here's our current logo for our new endeavor.

    Just a close up of... Well, she needs a name lol. Anyone have any suggestions? I'm going to continue doing renders with her (changing the clothes though).

    I was thinking Charlotte but I did venture forward with Charlotte and Dino. I welcome ideas.

    2.5 days and only reached 4% and 1460 iterations... Had to move on.

    With this render, I further dialed her in by toning out her body and adding muscle definition. I also worked with the skin settings and added some veins texturing.

    I again used DZ Fire's The Torch [http://www.daz3d.com/the-torch-and-construction-kit] to add some fill and warmth to the characters. I really love this prop as a light source. I also added one to the pompom on the Santa hat.

    The other thing I played around with is the "3D blood". I imported a 3D liquid from Element 3D [https://www.videocopilot.net/products/element2/] and applied a free blood shader [http://decanandersen.deviantart.com/art/Free-DAZ-Iray-Shader-Blood-588836843] to it. 

    I'm loving the time spent with this character and developing her world. I also love how the snow and lights tie the scene/mood together. I feel the cold/snow of the scene contrasted by the setting sun is pretty cool too.

    Materials and textures were all manipulated as well. After countless "test renders", this is the current render... After 4 days of rendering, I really don't like this one. Too purple, unfocused, no defined focal point...

    Quick and dirty - 10+ hrs of rendering - zero post work

    ARMS texture is messed up and her open eye is funky but otherwise this was fun.

    Forty one hours into latest render (which I'm excited about and love) and the neighborhood power goes out...

    Before the outage, I took advantage of today's FLASH SALE and picked up 5 Stonemason products. The power failed during downloading and now the store just says "waiting for available socket". *UPDATE = still can't download today's purchases...

    Today is off to fantastic start lol.

    Here's a preview of the current render featuring my favorite character Darius 6 (I have 7 as well but hate the perm goatee on the textures).

    **UPDATE - I just updated my CUDA driver and enabled rendering on the graphics card only for the first time... Excited to see the differences in rendering time.

    2 Days, 11 Hours, 1501 iterations, 21%... had to call it. I'm too excited to venture further down this modern gods road I find myself.

    Great render there Shawn butttt I just noticed the loin cloth is through the chains not sure if that was intentional or not.

    Yep, totally intentional. The "pentagram" was intended to be nothing more than light. Perhaps I should revist this render...
