  • @Deepsea: What settings did you use for that oily look?

Great products. Unfortunately there seems to be no bundle option? All five products make up for $75. Quite heavy compared to pro bundles which are often under $50 at release or other big PA bundles which have been released recently. Of course I don't question the amount of work you've put in those products but I might have to stick to the main character and the stable for now and get the novice, props and poses later - maybe at March Madness.

For the oily look you can use Reshade with oily speculer setting.

The development of all Sumo products required 6 months of work without compromise.

  • Thanks for the info on the specular setting. As said, I don't question the amount of work going into all those products at all. Kudos! Have purchased George and all connected products from your side. Nevertheless a bundle would have made it easier to get all the new products at once for a hobbyist like me. Without I might focus on the main character for now. Still thinking about whether I should get the novice or the stable - like especially the "pool" on the later one.

I agree ... excellent work, (so don't get me wrong) but I will only buy the character and wait for the rest to go on sale later, whether it is 3, 6, or 12 months later. I would, however, have bought everything at a higher price if it had been bundled with some savings (or if things had stacked), or if the dohyo had been bundled with either the stable or the poses. My instinct when confronted with this kind of pricing is deferred gratitude. Ultimately my gain, and somebody else's loss.

This work here is so good, the extra effort to get the kanji right (chinese characters) would only have been a minor matter in order to make the whole thing completely authentic. Somebody here on DAZ -- I am sure --- would have been able to help out. Maybe a good idea for next time?

The character is great, but why are there no bundles available?

  • Bought both characters and poses today, building and props next payday.  :)  No complaints here.  You have done fantastic work!!

Thank you. It makes me very happy. I worked very hard and long to offer a product package that respects the world of Sumo.

    Beautiful work altogether.

I see that you also show the texture on the G3M base figure. (Good idea, that.) And that the G3M head morph is not that of the base figure. It does look rather like the Sumo head morph has been dialed in to some degree. Is this the case, or is this a different character morph altogether? One of Sickleyeild's?

I've bought both characters. The rest will have to wait for a bit longer. smiley

Just wanted to say that George and his companion products are amongst the very few G3 products I have bought. They really do breathe life into G3M.

I'm working pretty much exclusively G2 and earlier otherwise

All sumo morphs need George. You don't apply them on Genesis 3 male base. George is a base. George expandable, sumo base character and Sumo Novice are applied as a morphs layer, and take advantage of the development of George scripts and especially the JCMs.

All my work around George is connected. This is a global concept.

Its come out and it looks fantastic. Trouble is, how many Sumo renders do I really want to do? Need to think about this one. Deserves to succeed.

    Your inquiry is right.
I try to propose a vision with a particular point of view that is not easy. Thin women with big breasts sell better than sumos.
I'm trying to tell a story. What I propose is a profound conviction. I try to go as far as possible in the quality of character and textures. It's understood or not. The important thing for me is that it exists.

Not for me. Most of these thin women look surreal, some I consider ugly, even frightening. With everyone I ask myself: Do I really need her? More often than not the answer is "No".

But George was an instant buy, and the Sumo ringer is as well.

Your promos tell a story, and that's why I love your promos. Even your sweet George Hair Set promos had me wondering who he was talking to. :p

Congratulations on a fantastic release. All of your products are wonderful, and your promos were just fun to look at. You did an excellent job of creating that fat but muscular build, and of course, making it bend right. Just masterful!

Got the Sumo. Should be easy to set the scenes because the poses are so good. And after that the Sumo will have to fight Dragons and be in the service of thin or possibly fat women with big breasts. Look forward to your next work.

  • Have a render cooking.  :)  Will check on it when I get home today and hopefully have something fun to post here.  :) It is a wonderful set!!

    Balance

This image is using 2 sumo figures.  The child was a lot of tweaking by reducing George and adding Growing Up and Little Ones.  Used a spot light to highlight the figures and Ghost Lights to help give it some ambient.  I have to say, the Sumo character has such a beautifully detailed face.  I love the expression I was able to get.  It was just perfect for what I wanted.  Thank you Deepsea for such a wonderful character and all the work you put into all the pieces.  My render fell back from the card to CPU, but it was worth it.  LOL

I expect to see something like this when I look up the word 'cute' i  the dictionary. Excellent work.

Your picture is beautiful and emotional. I really like your personnal approach.  It's very nice to have brought humanity with 3D.

  • @riftwitch - Thank you  :)

@Deepsea - I wanted to do something a bit different.  This character is a joy to render!  :)

I don't have george, but this sumo expansion is incredible. I think you did some beautiful work on the character and the environments @Deepsea. I'm not a sumo expert, but I know alot of  martial artists who do speak japanese. If you are planning on an updated texture pack, finding someone who can help with any signage that have kanji or japanese on them would show a great amount of respect for the world that your models have so beautifully recreated.

    @Digitak Lite Design That's a great render. I especially love the vintage-aged-treatment.

  • @FaxMisher - Thank you very much.  :)
